For service providers
Service provider guidelines
These guidelines apply to anyone listing event services — catering, photography, DJs, florists, planners, bartenders, and similar. They’re in addition to the broader host guidelines.
Licensing & insurance
- You must hold every license, permit, and certification required to perform your service in the locations you serve.
- If your service involves food, alcohol, propane, electrical, or any other regulated activity, all required permits must be current.
- We strongly recommend general liability insurance with coverage appropriate to your service category.
- You bear responsibility for any harm caused by your services. Collect Sisu is a marketplace, not your insurer.
Pricing & scope
- Pick a pricing basis that matches how you actually price: per-booking (flat), per-hour, per-day, or per-guest.
- Be explicit about what’s included. Add-ons should be add-ons, not surprise upcharges.
- List travel-fee structures up front. Guests dislike learning about travel fees at checkout.
Communication standards
- Respond to inquiries within 24 hours. Service bookings often involve longer conversations than rental bookings — leave room for it.
- Confirm event details (timeline, head count, venue access, dietary restrictions, song lists) at least a week in advance.
- Keep all communication on platform until the service is booked. Off-platform messaging breaks our ability to mediate disputes.
Day-of execution
- Arrive on time. If you’re running late, message the host as soon as you know.
- Bring a backup plan: power failures, equipment issues, weather. The wedding doesn’t stop because your speaker died.
- Dress and conduct yourself professionally. Your behavior reflects on Collect Sisu and shapes future bookings.
- If the venue or scope changes materially on-site, document it and discuss with the guest — don’t silently absorb extra work.
Confirming service completion
After you finish:
- Mark the booking as Performed from the booking detail page.
- The guest confirms with Confirm Service, then either side can leave a review.
- If there’s a dispute (work not as described, cancellation, etc.), file a damage / scope claim and our team will help mediate.
Prohibited services
You may not list:
- Anything illegal in the jurisdiction where the service is performed
- Services that require certifications you don’t hold (medical, legal, securities)
- Anything sexually explicit or adult-themed
- Services involving live ammunition, real weapons, or dangerous activities without explicit insurance disclosure
- Services performed under another business’s license that hasn’t authorized your work
